The Astanza Duality
The Astanza Duality is an innovative, high power Q-switched Nd:YAG laser that produces ultra-short pulses to shatter pigment trapped deep in the skin’s dermis layer while leaving the outer epidermis unharmed. Our FDA-cleared technology uses two essential wavelengths, 532 nm and 1064 nm, to target and remove a wide range of ink colors found in majority of tattoos.
The Duality’s peak power is what truly sets it apart from other lasers. Combining an ultra-short 6,000 picosecond pulse duration and high pulse energy, the Duality produces intense peak power for optimal ink fracturing and effective removal of stubborn pigments. The Duality is designed to penetrate deep into the skin and shatter more ink with each session, promoting faster fading and removal.
The Duality is considered the gold standard of tattoo removal and can safely treat all patient skin types, including darker skin types IV – VI. Featuring a flat top homogenized profile beam, the Duality delivers safe treatments and even distribution of energy for reduced risk of side effects. The Duality also uses a large 5 mm beam with a unique square shape for faster treatments, minimized laser pulse overlap, and reduced risk of pigmentation changes for darker skin tones.
